Need help on kitchen floor tiles
Comments (33)Hi catbox/emerald18 - your kitchen is absolutely stunning - I love it - mostly because your style is the same as mine - only the tiles I've chosen are Henley Cool from Topps Tiles (sage green/blue). I've also had a few moments of indecision but I've had a picture and sample of the tiles pinned up for months and I still love them. I'd chosen matt slab style kitchen door fronts but I might be convinced by your photo to change to Shaker. I am also going for the wood worktop but can't decide whether to have a Belfast sink or not. What sink did you choose? I also can't decide on a splashback, but like white painted brick + something more cleanable by the sink and hob. Once again, I love love love your kitchen - I'm pinning the photo of it up with my tiles picture in case I get future wobbles about my dream kitchen...See MoreNeed help for kitchen/living/dining area
Comments (8)Oh wow! Thanks everyone... So so much... I would never have seen some of the things that you have pinpointed. I have already got the cabinet and under cabinet lighting, it was turned off when I took the earlier shots. I totally get the suggestion to remove the cabinets etc near the window but would prefer not too just yet... I am back pocketing that for next year! I will add some items on top of the cabinets, and the artwork that you suggested too in the meantime. The window seat I had in mind was for the living room area, instead of the two seater. Would that look better than the two piece, with colourful cushions, and if so should I add a built I cabinet for the tv (right beside it) in the same painted wood colour as the window seat? Also should I put curtains either side of the window seat if I opt to go with that, or stick just with colourful roman blinds? I will look into fixtures for lights and have already started the fabric hunt for curtains/roman blinds/ cushions etc. Also, what colour would you recommend to accessorise the room with?...See MoreNeed help for kitchen/living/dining area
Comments (1)Would paint a pale blue gray. It would go nicely with your cabinets. Add fabric to to windows and some trim around windows. Nice space...See MoreNeed help with kitchen/sitting room open plan
Comments (2)Hi, One of the possible plans is to block off the window and put tall units with eye level ovens, larder, fridge freezer etc. keep the sink run in a straight line with sink, dishwasher, pull out bin and in the island put in the hob with drawers underneath. Either put in ceiling mounted extractor or a downdraft depending on what stage of build you are at. Hope this helps, we are in Northern Ireland if you but do work throughout the uk. We are the largest Pronorm dealer in the whole of Ireland and a gloss white handless kitchen would look great in this space. Regards, Conor Ballycastle homecare...See MoreHope B
