I got a massive eucalyptus tree at the back of my garden . It's very close to the back fence witch it's in front of the community park .
I am not sure what to do with it as its massive. It's never have been prune in shape before from the previous owners of the house and also the roots have been spread really bad coming out from the soil and been visible around the tree . I love the idea with the sitting bench but not sure if I can have something similar . It's it something you can assist with please ? I am base in Carshalton SM5 .

Hi, I've seen trees like this before where unchecked, they grow to disproportionately large sizes for the gardens they are planted in. I don't know why people do it. Eucalyptus is a very large and fast growing tree with a faboulous bark but far more appropriate to a park than a London back garden. Please contact my office if you would like help with this.

I understand what you want to do, so here's my suggestion, if it fits.....I'd move the couch under the mirror. Move table to the center of the kitchen, like an island. Sounds like it's two adults and two toddlers, so I'd definitely remove two of those chairs. Are your kids in high-chairs, if so move the other two chairs out too. Basically you want four chairs not six. Move them to a garage, basement or another room. Put the chairs around two or three sides of the table. I'd leave the side near the stove and washing machine(?) open. TV would mount to the right of the back door. See if that would work. Either way, it's going to be a tight space. Post pics please.

The only way to do this involves moving some cabinets. There is a lot of vertical space available opt 1) remove the upper cabinets near the window. Place the freezer on top of counter. Use the former freezer area to build in shoe cubbies. opt 2) Move the tall pantry cabinet up. Underneath the pantry cabinet, build in shoe cubbies. opt 3) move the freezer up to meet the bottom of the upper cabinets. Put she storage underneath freezer. You'll need to replace the counter with a smaller counter that will be over the washer and dryer only.

Under stairs space

Hi all. Looking for advice on using this space under our stairs. Have seen many lovely reading nooks/ bench ideas but our problem is there is no ‘end wall’ to join a bench on to as there is a door into the kitchen area. Think it would look strange to come out of the kitchen and have a low bench area protruding out but maybe it wouldn’t 🤷🏻‍♀️ Have a console table on the other side of the hall so reluctant to put anything like that in the space. Any suggestions much appreciated!
