Sliding door/ divider ideas
Comments (29)With a sliding door, you can have each side different to match the style of the room it faces. Here are some ideas that, believe it or not, are done with sharpies on flat surfaces. I can envision a "fireplace" on the lounge side. On the dining room side, you could do the "double door" look, by putting half on the door, and half on the wall next to the door. So when the door is closed, it looks like a pair of doors, but when the door is slid open it looks like only one door (but it's the wall!) I added the 3rd picture just because I think it's so cool. I believe the only "real" thing in the room is the glass table/desk, and the filing cabinet....See MoreNeed help for my kitchen
Comments (38)A soft mossy or grey green would be my first impulse but Sarah's dark blue looks good. It depends on your kitchen ware. White porcelains will pop with the blue and earthy stoneware will go more with the soft greens. I'd add a shelf to extend from the cabinet across the tile and a pot rack or hooks over the stove....See MoreNeed advice on colours
Comments (5)I'm not sure if your walls are a "peachy" earth tone????...."if" so orange/turquoise are really in right now and could certainly brighten it up for you....I've recently gone through the same thing with our home in FLA ....the walls are a yellow + pale turquoise accents but adding orange/red to the room would have been the last thing I would ever have thought of + we centered the light fixture so that it was centered on the wall and not off to one side like the previous owner had it....you can see from the "before and after" pics what a huge difference it made...one thing leads to the next....the new chair covers I made a huge difference too but it was quite the job!....I didn't add a lot of orange/red but to us it made a huge difference...See MoreWhich Credenza Should I Buy?
