Have bought silk for Roman blinds to go outside the recesses and as the windows are south facing I am thinking of putting plain white straight edged (window frames are white) roller blinds in the recess to protect from sunlight. Will this look odd or is there a better option.thank you Roisin
Lining and interlining the silk roman shades would be better. Silk is fragile and attaching rings to unlined silk romans is not advised for that reason. Also, most shades look better on an inside the casing mount. However, you can do it your way as well if the silk is a sturdy variety. Assuming you'll keep them both lowered to same level and your view from outdoors will be the roller shade.
