Where to place bed in dormer room ?
Comments (5)We do need a couple more pictures of your room to see other possibilities for you to place your bed. What you have above it is just far too small. I know you'll get a lot of suggestions to put a sunburst mirror above it. Either that, or a larger piece of art. Maybe two smaller (but still larger than the current one) next to each other. I have a dormer and have the bed opposite of the window. But our dormer is wider, so maybe in your case you won't have enough space to walk around the bed? Comments (10)Thank you all for replying and for your advice! I will certainly consider changing the lamps for taller ones. They are very low all right. General feeling seems to be that mirror would be better same colour as the fireplace so I will think about that (it was originally that colour but I thought it looked very dark LOL). I might move it to my bedroom, I have a space where it might work. I will try centring the rug also. Lots to consider, I appreciate the comments everyone!...See MoreNew mirror
Comments (15)I think the large mirror covering the whole wall will be too big with the tv right there. I am into the antlers but I don't think they relate to anything else in the room other than the fireplace itself. I think your best bet is a simple round mirror. I know you've been shopping locally - if you are open to online, overstock has a big selection. Here is one that incorporates some gold and silver so it picks up your chandelier but is still pretty simple. http://www.overstock.com/Home-Garden/Raymond-Round-Mirror/8403155/product.html?refccid=2CDPCEBNTZLJLASNJPTJVEOR7M&searchidx=14...See MoreSmall downstairs toilet & shower - are my ideas gonna work?
Comments (12)Hi. I think the overall look is good. Large tiles do make a room feel bigger as the pattern is less busy however I've seen the hex tiles in small bathrooms and they seem to work as your inspiration pic shows. I would probably lose the flowers though if I'm honest. Do you want the window for light or ventilation? Could a decent extractor be sufficient? I'm thinking that back ŵall could look quite busy. Is there any opportunity to change the layout? Moving soil pipes can be a little costly but could the sink be moved although ideally the loo would be hidden round the corner. You can pick up some great looking vintage or vintage style taps on ebay although unsure if the quality of the repro ones, If the layout can't be changed maybe have a corner loo and ŵall hung trough sink and put some storage in on the rhs as you come through the door depending on how you plan for the shower to open...See Moreccohen8155
