Any ideas for final touches to this living/dinning room?
Comments (56)The trim in your rooms is outstanding. To "tie the rooms together", the one thing I would do is install chair rail the same color as the existing trim. The horizontal lines of chair rail will move the eye around the room and into the next room creating a flow. Chair rail is relatively inexpensive, easy to install and would be wonderful compliment to your existing beautiful trim....See MoreSuggestions for 'funky' chairs to go with beautiful antique table
Comments (15)Thanks guys, in my own head I was thinking mismatched chairs, maybe painted in a neutral shabby chic kind of way, but I'm really impressed with both the ghost chair and the tobias as it makes it all about the table but definitely puts a modern twist on it. Any other photos out there of the ghost or tobias in situ?...See MoreNeed help for my living room colour scheme!
Comments (9)Is the chandelier thing seeming a bit small for the room or is it just me? Given that your walls are plain, the sofa is plain how about a patterned rug? Do you like Persian rugs? I find that dark green wainscotting too heavy and would paint it a lighter color. Given you have just moved in I assume you are planning to be there a while. If you like traditional style do you want a fairly safe color scheme re walls and curtains, keeping future resale in mind. Or are u happy to decorate according to your tastes? The mirror seems a bit small to me....See MoreNew kitchen, but just not working.

Just wanted to suggest that you try pulling the nesting tables forward to be more in line with front of the chairs & placing your floor lamp to the back of them. This will give a bit more light at night for reading in that area. Also switching the plant by the fireplace & the one on the corner by the sofa....See MoreOnePlan
