All jambs of the archway should be foyer color: left, right, and top. Weathy is correct due to a) the higher traffic flow and b) the location of the hardwood flooring threshold. Great question, jseamster!
Thank you all very much! Well that was a unanimous decision. In retrospect, I suppose the floors should have been my clue. I'm surprised to hear that the top archway would also be foyer color. I think I would have defaulted to a basic ceiling color, but not for any real reason. :) Thanks again and Happy Holidays
Oh, thanks Tina. Just did that today. I was actually inspired to go gray by the feature story about gallery walls on here. Went a little darker but fits with the palette I chose for the rest of the house (Valspar Summerscape.) This one is Stone Mason Gray 4008-1C.
