What is on your worktop?? We deal with a recommend Granite, Quartz and Marble... We'd love to hear your feedback on this...

Hi guys im just begining to design a kitchen renovation, has anyone any suggestions on type of worktop preference?.. i really didnt want to go to expensive as i get bored with everything and change it and then feel guilty about the waste,, decisions decisions but any advice appreciated

Hi I'm planning a new kitchen as part of a refurb and need some advice on worktops. I have always had a laminate worktop in kitchens before and now have the chance to get a stone worktop which I have always thought would be the obvious choice given the opportunity. However, I've been told that they can be quite noisy with dishes etc, especially in a open plan which is what we will have. Also another person told me she wishes she'd gone with laminate because of you drop a dish on the quartz top it will surely break. ( I hadn't thought of this!) Anyone with experience of laminate and stone in an open plan space who can offer thoughts? Thanks in advance!

Hi All. Can anyone share their pros and cons of a wooden worktop on an island. There is no sink or oven going on the island so just food prep and eating space. I am trying to decide between this and quartz. Thank you. Elaine
