I agree deepen the color, don't change it and yes art art art! maybe lessen the presence of the brick with the earlier suggestion of the metal cogs its and use traditional artwork pics/nature/paintings on the painted wall. I also like the idea to paint the part of the wall that juts out in a darker shade of the same color. Now you have lots to consider and lots to dismiss as well. Good luck and have fun

I need to tile a couple of walls in my bathroom which in the original design were meant to be painted. The painted walls would look better, but it's not possible now. So is there any tips on how to make a tiled wall look more like a painted one. I was thinking perhaps by using large matt tiles with grouting of the same colour? The colour is white for the tiles.

I want a new kitchen and looking for fresh ideas on.the layout while minimising costs. It's difficult as the door into the kitchen is directly opposite the door to the utility. The room itself is North facing so dark. The current layout has the sink under the window and oven, hob and fridge freezer on back wall. This leaves a zone that's not big enough for family table and a dead space. All walls are solid. Any ideas appreciated.
