Stone shed door paint colour

We have put new doors on our sheds and can't decide on a colour. The shed's stone seems to have green and grey colours in it. I've tried samples of f&b green smoke (right) and a 'racing car green' (left).
The green smoke seems to just blend in and the racing car green just doesn't work either. I have 8 doors to paint so would love some suggestions!!

Lovely stone shed! Is that vine to the left blooming? Would be great to take your cue from that. On my computer screen, the stone looks to have a lot of gray/blue even violet tones.

Or consider half strength paint so the door is washed rather than painted.

I really think it's the plants that are supposed to be the center of attraction so I have a hard time thinking of anything better than painting the wall gray and the planters charcoal. However, trying to keep an open mind I did locate the photo above with yellow planters, which would be pretty against a gray wall. But looking at your very lovely blue door, I could see repeating that very same color on the planters and leaving the wall gray. It's always a good thing to repeat an existing color when it looks as great as that one does. That blue would be dynamite on a planter filled with green plants and colorful blooms.

Yes I prefer that option from the 2 there too. I did the tester a few months ago when it was more winters and it didn't look nice. It looks like it would be nicer in the summer. Maybe no colour looks nice in winter? :-) thanks

I would go for a stone colour so not too dissimilar to what you've got. Little Greene does a good stone colour too but will work out a bit expensive. This is Oxford stone by farrow and ball. If you were doing the windows and front door then maybe an old white with door and windows in french grey

HI -- Too bad you painted the samples on the door . I think it would have been better to have had a more rustic look by just having stained the wood a nice medium tone or a weathered grey and sealed it to make it look rich . Now if you can't find a green , can you go to the blue greys instead ? Have a look at "Oyster Bay " by Sherwin Williams paints . It's a nice green that goes with just about everything .

The house is quite a bit away from the shed's. The house is white with an oak coloured front door and black down pipes. The shed's also have black down pipes.

I just took a couple of pictures but it is getting a little dark out.

Yes lefty I agree. Varnished doors would have been lovely but there are some doors painted a few years ago already that would need to be painted whatever colour might suit (other shed doors colour isn't nice!)

I think a burnt orange that sort of looks like the door on your house would be nice. Your stone seems to have some of that color in it too.

I like the blue on the right. Once that vine leafs out on the left, you will have a view-full of green.

I admire your shed. Is your home equally admirable?

Did you fix up the shed for your mother-in-law? Let her pick the color to her cell. Did I say that again?

I never considered burnt orange handyman. Yes there is orange tones in the stone here. Funny enough our neighbours say that the old man who used to live here always painted the doors different bright colours every couple of years. I can see why now!! Thanks

Haha cascio! I poor mother in law!! Honestly we let her stay in our house when visiting :-)
The house is great. Our friend, who is an architect, designed it before the recession here - now some lucky Canadians have him working with them!

I vote for the one on the right. Very soft and subtle. Love the way it blends in but if you don't like the blending then go with bright red.
