How to use the mail/message link?

Hi, I've noticed there is an-mail/message link in the "your houzz" section, can this be used to have a private discussion with someone and send them photos of my home without it going public? Or is this just for profession use? Many thanks in advance.

Hi Elaine, the messaging service is for contacting a pro - when you click on the 'Contact Me' button on their profile, your message will arrive in their inbox, and from there you can start a dialogue. If you just want to share private images with another user/friend etc. you can collaborate on a private Ideabook! I've attached two FAQs for you - one on how to make an Ideabook private, and another on how to collaborate with somebody!

fragle0 ... congratulations on the new addition to your family. Have been following your lovely changes. You probably won't have time to work on the decor for a while. Just wanted to suggest that you try pulling the nesting tables forward to be more in line with front of the chairs & placing your floor lamp to the back of them. This will give a bit more light at night for reading in that area.Also switching the plant by the fireplace & the one on the corner by the sofa.

not alot happening at the moment, its winter! alotta rain, lotta. but i am bedding down to get this over with and maybe in the spring the spirits will rise once more. i hope so. i would love to feel i was doing something to keep my hopes and dreams alive, i dont see what i can do until the spring. when i bring the topic up, especially to those that moved away and came down this neck of the woods, they say they had friends who felt it was too far too and moved back home. i guess thats how i feel, thats what i want and i just want to be a bit more uplifted, i think rain dampens down things a bit!!! santa Ma Margaret!

Hi everyone,

I have a small living room which doesn't allow much tweaking (in my novice view anyway) due to socket situation, bedroom in top right hand corner of the picture and hallway entrance from which i took the photo. I know they say sofa should be away from window in most cases but i think it looks ok there and allows my armchair to face the tv. I purchased the large rug recently to take up some empty carpet space but i looks bare. I would be most grateful for any advice on what i could put there if you think my layout is wrong. I was going to put a coffee table in the middle but would that not prevent walkway to bedroom. Footstool etc?
