I've just bought a new house and want to set up my office in a similar way, do you think I could have the dimensions of this room?

Thanks Chemayne, yes, that is correct re: position of the bed. There is a small bedroom behind where the bed is currently and ultimately i'd like to turn it into a walk in robe. That's funny, i never considered the grey bed to be masculine, although my mum didn't like it so maybe that should have been a clue! I keep coming back to it though, but not too sure if it is too low for the room. Unfortunatley there doesn't seem to be many grey beds around to compare it with. As for those pictures, thank you. However i don't think any of them are my taste. They are all a bit busy i think. I like the white trim which i am going to get done. I think from these i'm leaing towards Ighter coloured walls as well. I think the blue walls on number 1 is a bit much and no:4 with different curtains would be okish too.

If you are using an installer they should be able to give you more tips on the best layout. Light coloured or white tiles will make the space feel bigger, maybe adding a line or border of another colour to add interest. It makes me cross that people think they have a right to make some quite negative comments on this post. Masmccar76 put these photos on because she thought people would like to see a genuinely lovely transformation of her garden. Instead there have been some downright nasty comments. By all means make comments but keep them constructive. Houzz is all about is sharing ideas, not about being nasty

Love white walls, especially with colorful art or black and white photos. Move the sofa/love seat next to the table...make it look like a sectional. The rug may work...but a bit too small. Your artwork is too small and way to high. May I suggest a gallery wall? The art work should only be about 8" above couch, unless you have little ones then I totally understand. Buy some frames and start experimenting with your photos...some black and white, some sepia, blow them up. Should span 2/3 the length of sofa. Lots of ideas on gallery walls on Pinterest.
