We love the chandelier & would like to know more information please.

We are having a new house built & are looking for a chandelier for the entrance hall & came across this striking one. Please could you let me have more information about it?

Lots of ideas....couldn't resist adding my two cents. i copied your photos and did a little cut and paste- it's messy, but hopefully gets the main idea across. i'd put your sofa in front of the large book case, chair by the fireplace, tv on the stand on the wall opposite the fireplace - so you can either look at the fire or the tv. Someone suggested using frames of one color for your photos - an inexpensive way to do that would be to spray paint them all a dark color-black goes with everything. Since your shelves are a medium tone wood, display things that are dark or light so that they contrast against the wood. Limiting your display items pallette to a few values usually helps to unify things. (I think that's why so many people want to paint the shelves or put inserts in the back to help your nice things read more clearly...some get lost). If you want to "splurge" -you may consider having a carpenter make a few solid tall cabinet doors to provide a visual break in the shelving. I'm showing 3 doors - 1 on the right side of the fireplace and 2 on the left to leave two open vertical shelves for display on each side - with things arranged to frame the fireplace as the focal point. To add some height to your big vases, consider stacking some books beneath them. Enjoy experimenting untill you get something you're happy with - good luck!

No, ask away :-) I'm not a pro though, just kind of passionate about design and interiors and all that :-) Great cabinet. I'm really not opposed to mixing metals. You'll get a more eclectic mix. It is the result of going with what you love and not with what you think goes with something else. And that will give your interior your own personal style. Matter of taste. Some people really don't like it. Others do :-) Go for a fairly large coffee table. I would think at least 100 cm wide. Tape (news) paper together to the size of the coffee table you like and lay that on the floor. It will give you an idea about the scale in your room. You need it to be easily reachable from the sofas, since you have these high armrests. And your room can take a large table. If you can't find a large one you like, you can also think about putting together 4 smaller square ones for example. The one with the metal base (I took two from the Soul Lifestyle site) is on the smallish side. The black one is larger. Round fits nicely with the shape of your sofas. Not sure if I mocked up the sizes correctly, but I think the lovely side table is too small. The lamp is about 70 cm tall (again, I guestimated the size), but it does look small on that low table. My husband is the same! Just my opinion but as they're both chandeliers I'm not convinced it will work. Could you get a cheap light for by the woodburner? Either something hung lower than the chandelier or semi-flush in a different style. Maybe something contemporary as a contrast? I know that's not ideal re budget but you may be able to get a bargain in the sales. Do try just holding the light there though when the room is built and take a pic as i may be wrong..

My kitchen was very similar to yours Theresa very dark - needed to leave lights all the time! I got the cabinets professionally painted in an off white by Farrow and ball and the walls are in Bone by farrow and ball which is a kind of grey - sage color. looks and feels way warmer and brighter! Think this could work really well with your wall tiles as they appear to have a green tone in them. Definitely integrate appliance - so glad I got mine painted it feels like a whole new kitchen without the big investment! Best of luck with yours!
