We renovated out kitchen 5 yrs ago...was happy. It took a few yrs to realize that the sink we chose (blanco white undermount) us stupid. Instead of one large sink ours is broken down into kind of a 2/3 to 1/3. The 1/3 portion is an absolute waste. We gave expensive blue granite on our counters. Is it possible to get another undermount sink and a granite person come in and create an opening that is larger and will match the new sink..? Help....
Hello. Thank you for your question. This is in reference to your query regarding the installation of a new sink. We would like to inform you that it is feasible to install a larger sink on the counter top by cutting a grove in the granite. But we recommend you consult a granite fabricator with the actual size of the existing sink and the specifications on the new sink which you intend to install on the counter top. Many factors are to be considered while doing such an alteration like the strength and the margin on the counter top etc. Please let us know if you have any further questions we may be able to help you with.
