Is it possible to reload the first pix - my neck is getting stiff! Also, a big chunk of your dilemma description is not showing - at least on my screen - and it would be nice to know more. . . thanks!
You've made the end wall the focus of the room by virtue of the furniture placement and the location of the TV... Yet it really isn't very interesting. Every view has (or should) have layers...think about foreground, mid ground, and background.
Think about what could add interest... Is it color? Furnishings? Light? Exterior view?
If you feel that you are out of your element, consult with an Interior Designer...Good luck!!!
I would start with a rug. Something with a lot of texture if you stick with the monochromatic color scheme. If you want to add color a rug is a good place to start. Because you have a very neutral room you have a rainbow of colors to choose from. Then use the color from the rug to add color throughout the room.
