First home need help with colors

Hi we just bought a house and its not been touched since the 70s so all our money has gone into new windows heating and hopefully stretch to a kitchen. so the rest of the house will be make it work with what we have kind of affair for now can anyone help with living room color schemes with the color of this sofa and carpet replacing them is not within our budget right now. Many thanks for taking the time to help
