Need help with redesigning front of house
Comments (10)Thanks for the feedback, we had something similar in mind. Would you suggest bringing the door out to the front? What about the windows either side, we would think about replacing maybe in a different colour, possibly grey, and add some cedar cladding to the house front and paint walls grey. We are also toying with the idea of bring double doors out to the front with arclight over head and then to add coving around the windows with arc that mirrors the arc light to try and soften the whole angular look to to the front. All suggestions welcome. Thanks Brian...See MoreWin a design consultation at The permanent tsb Ideal Home Show!
Comments (74)Hello Houzz Ireland, We are currently renovating a 1960's build - so as you know, there is a lot of decisions to be made!! So it would be nice to get some gems of advice from the experts to help us through this daunting task. Areas where we would really like some inspiration for - small bathroom downstairs. I would really like to do something fun with this room and although small, I think it could work really well with some funky wallpaper or possibly tiles?! I'm just not sure what to do with it. Also - pulling a whole house together?! Where do we start? We have the bigger pieces of furniture but how do I know what nest of tables goes best with a suite? Or what accessories will bring a room together? I'm due a second baby in 2 weeks time so any help at this stage would be so amazing - to guide me on the right interior design path for our new house. Thanks, Laurie...See MoreAdvice on Kitchen/Utility renovation
Comments (3)Hi - its such a big and important project, i really think you need to sit down with a good kitchen designer and fully tease out your requirements and then look at every possible layout option. by sitting down with someone, they will draw each possible layout to scale in front of you and that way you will be able to see the pros and cons of each design. it makes decision making much easier best of luck with the project Barry...See MoreNeed help for exterior re-vamp please!
Comments (0)Hello everyone, First time poster here - heard great reviews of the advice on this site! So here goes - My house is overdue a total exterior re-paint. I'm quite happy with the white - not so sure about the grey trim and 100% want to change the colour of the door that is a drab dark brown at the minute. The window frames can not be painted as they are PVC. I'm liking the idea of a Juniper / aubergine coloured door? But what to colour the wooden sides and trim around the door? Would really appreciate your advice - i'm based in the west of Ireland so lots of rain and green! I've attached a photo - hope the quality is sufficient... Thanks in advance, Yvonne...See Moregraccy
