Exterior Deck and Patio Transformation

This project is an interior and exterior renovation and addition in Southern Connecticut . The new mahogany deck and patio provide multiple levels and areas for dining, sitting and entertaining. The design is a modern aesthetic which complements and blends with the existing colonial home.

      Looks like a TON of dirt was brought in, graded, seeded. Look at lower level door before & after. Lots more to this than at first glance, incl relo of some windows & doors. I'm sure this was quite expensive.

      Love the way the land comes together with the house, rather than the deck just sticking out there in space like so many. I also love the levels of the deck. Would like to see more connection with the arbor.
      Love the colors together, rather than old wood.
      Makes a cohesive statement. The house looks better, as does the deck. United!!!

      Madhayes - Thanks for your interest. There is a new basement media room under the deck so we didn't need to bring in much earth.

      Were the doors to the outside removed and windows put in place? I can't tell from the photos how the previous doors worked out... thank you! I would love to do some sort of transformation like this to our home!!
