“Artisan has completed projects in two different homes for us, one at our existing home and one at our previous. At our previous home Artisan installed a stone backsplash in our kitchen that topped off a remodel. It was a rather new stone that had only been used on fireplaces but Bill was up to the challenge. He was so careful aligning the joints and cutting the outlets. The backsplash was so beautiful and harmonious that people thought that we had even replaced our cabinets. So, when we moved last summer I already knew that Bill was a stone artist. In fact I called him before we even had possession so we could start planning a fireplace makeover. I wanted to lighten up and con-temporize the living room fireplace which had dark red/brown bricks. Bill agreed with my choice of stone for the face of the fireplace, which was a new stone to The Tile Shop. Rather than the stone tile that I had picked for the hearth he suggested a similar one that he felt would be a better solution. Both are just beautiful. He was so careful to stage and layer the necessary adhesives prior to laying the stone. He was thoughtful about everything. We liked it so much that before he was finished we commissioned him to create a stone wall in our entry.
