“We talked with several Solar System companies, getting proposals for different types of arrangement: a system owned by the vendor and from whom we then purchased the electricity produced by the system they own on our roof OR a system we purchase that is installed on our roof and we get the direct benefit of the electricity produced by the system and we also get the income tax credit for the system. We chose Sol-Tek based on the long history of their parent company (Westech), the cost was equivalent to other bids, the specs for the panels and converter and the character and directness of the people we talked to. The system was installed in 3 days and went on-line about 2 weeks after that (requires approval from city inspector and also from PG&E). The system has performed flawlessly. Our electrical bills totaled around $1000 per year before the system was installed and totaled $60 for the full year with the system in operation. The system fully met the expectations stated by the Sol-Tek staff and fully meets are expectations, too.”
