“100000% recommend Nick and his crew on so many levels. My family and I just moved into a home in Brooklyn with an empty dirt backyard. I had a vision to do a mix of astroturf and new pavers, but had no idea how to execute it. When Nick came over, I showed him my chicken scratch sketch and he knew exactly what to do and gave really great recommendations on things I had no idea about (flood prevention, etc). I also appreciated that I told him we had a really strict budget so he shared with us some amazing ideas on what we could do to keep the cost down. He never pushed for me to do any additional work which I really appreciated. Okay so to the good part. Here are the reasons why I highly recommend him: Communication - incredibly responsive. always answered all my questions, even if I repeated the same ones because he just wanted to make sure I knew exactly what he was going to do and why. Honest - he would literally show me RECEIPTS of items he purchased! I have worked with other contractors and they would just make up numbers when I asked how much things would cost. Quality - he really cares about the work and commits to it. You can see from start to finish. And he was there majority of the time doing the work alongside his crew. There was a moment after the pavers were installed where I was nervous about my design decision but he said "trust the process" and I was glad I did because the backyard came out really wonderfully. All in all, we had a great experience and would recommend him to everyone and anyone. Super happy about the work. And they did it on time so that we could enjoy the backyard for the summer. “ONLY Hire Bob Chamberlain and his team if you want to do it right the first time. He doesn't sacrifice quality to get clients, and he is the most honest, hardworking and positive guy around. But please don't hire him if you are looking to save money, or if you are looking for the cheapest landscaper around. He's not it. But what you get with him is value for money, and a job that you will only have to pay for one time. We bought a 4 acre property which was in pretty bad condition and gave him the mandate to make the property look park-like and established all at the same time (and I asked for everything to be non-toxic and organic as well!)! Chamberlain, (who is an artist and a master gardener as well), and his team rose to the occasion over the course of the next 2.5 years and a budget of $1.5+m........He started by regrading and putting new drywells all over the property, then managed the huge project of building a new 1,000 sq foot outdoor kitchen/patio and a smaller 200 sq foot patio, 3 retaining walls, a zipline platform and many other things.....He selected, transported, prepped and planted 100's of adult specimen trees, 1,000's of plants, mature fruit trees and 6 extremely large (25 year old), priceless trees that needed a special crane to plant; trucked in hundreds of loads of new fresh topsoil, sodded the entire property, installed 25 planting beds and oversaw the irrigation company and lighting companies to make sure everything was consistent and efficient. We now have the most amazing home that we love to live in, entertain and enjoy!”
