And yet, from beginning to end, the project went smooth, on budget, on time, and with an extra touch of personal commitment. Jen (from EuroLuxe) helped us design the kitchen, select the materials (stone color, texture of panels, ...), pick the right appliances, plan the installation, coordinate with contractors, and keep on following up with us even after the project was completed. The team is insanely responsive (any text/mail was answered within the hour), super professional, great attention to details, ... and our kitchen space looks INCREDIBLE! If I could assign a sixth or seventh star, I would in a heartbeat :-)”

“No 2nd quote! Yes! I signed my first ADU contract with DH! Either Sam and his team are too good, or I am too blind trusting, and so far, I think it is the former. Sam took me to work sites, and had me meeting designer Shon, on phone with his manager, Idan. The team works very well together. I like that. Sam has the ability to remove all the doubts and questions I have, and he is a creative problem solver I did not mark a 5 star because we just started. Sometimes, Joey don't reply my text right away, I understand that everybody is busy, and I don't immediately reply everything either, and on issues gating the progress, Sam is very responsive. All in all, things look good.”

“My wife and I used Phoenix Contractors for a total gut job remodel of a 2000 square foot home. Scott Sullivan and his crew did excellent work. They were pleasant, hardworking, conscientious and detail oriented. His sub contractors did an excellent job. The parts of the job they could control were all done on time. Scott was on the job site most days supervising (and working) and he had great instincts about when we needed to be consulted. He was also excellent at working with the interior designer we used on the project. There were a very few, very minor things that had to be corrected once the job was done and the team from Phoenix Construction did a great job of taking care of these issues quickly and easily. Likewise, we had a couple of minor warranty issues months after the job was done and getting some one from Phoenix to deal with these issues was easy and the work was done quickly. Also, on one instance we had a problem months after the warranty period was up. I checked with Scott and he offered to see what had caused the problem. and then do the repair for time+materials. He ended up charging nothing because the problem could have been prevented had the original work been done different. A final thing I would add is that many contractors I have dealt with through the years prefer working with men. That was never the case with Scott and his crews. They treated both my wife and the interior designer we hired very respectfully.”

“As a veteran of Silicon Valley, I have recognized that integrated platforms provide the best value for end users. What if a construction company could integrate the various disciplines associated with remodeling/new home construction into a platform like approach? Imagine having to deal with a separate architect, a separate 3D renderer, a separate interior designer, various showrooms where all care about their own individual services and products? As we look back at our experience with the Greenberg Design Gallery team together with the Greenberg Construction team; from the original concept stage, to budgeting, design, and implementation/cost trade-offs, to securing our permit, we have recognized that indeed the team at Greenberg have implemented a very efficient platform. The team is highly technical and uses state of the art architectural design tools to take their clients through the journey in a very timely manner. In fact, we believe the value we have received in the design to permit phase will eventually save us a considerable amount as we anticipate minimal changes during the build phase. Greenberg architected our new home vision in the first month, and by empowering us with their 3D modeling package, we were able to request modifications and fine tune our entire house in the ensuing two months. In parallel, we were visiting their showroom in Palo Alto (where they have a rich selection of material), and spent quality time with their interior designers to help us reach consensus on the majority of the type of finishes for our house. So in approximately three months we went from vision to design to permit and material type selection. “Slater construction did an amazing job on my renovation of my townhouse. I had been wanting to do a reno but was basically forced into starting it when I had an upstairs bathroom toilet leak which required repair and replacement of that bathroom floor and the 1st story ceiling. Besides repairing the water damage, the renovation project included renovating the upstairs and downstairs bathrooms with all new tile flooring, installation of tile bath surround with custom niches and spa massage shower panel, and new plumbing, paint, light fixtures and vanities. I also had a barn door and ceiling fan added to my master bedroom and a new chandelier and all new vinyl flooring installed downstairs.”

“We love our new bathroom! It turned out exactly as we had hoped and planned, and we wouldn't change a thing. All thanks go to Blues Brothers Construction, and especially to Onn. We've done several remodels and this was the most fun and satisfying. Like the other remodels, there were problems and mistakes to be dealt with along the way. The difference with this company is how they handled the issues. In every case, they listened to our concerns without defensiveness and insisted on doing it correctly without shortcuts. Several times, I indicated I would be satisfied with a less expensive workaround, but Onn assigned someone immediately to do it right or even worked the issue himself. This often resulted in something better than we had originally envisioned. The employees and independent contractors were all very pleasant to work with. The tile installer was especially skilled at his craft and went above and beyond in making sure the tile went in perfectly. In a few cases, the installers were not very familiar with the products they were installing, but they were very receptive to our suggestions or pointing out where something was going off track, so everything turned out great in the end. Onn has set up very effective processes for his company. Communication was excellent and the employees and contractors were all aware of the schedule, daily tasks and routines, and the design plan. All the employees were very engaged and seemed to like and respect their employer. Onn's plans were very detailed and made it very easy to iterate on the design and track the construction progress. The professionalism of their process was similar to much larger, more expensive firms but, instead of resulting in increased costs like the others, we think it improved their efficiency and held down costs. As they stated, They are not the cheapest or most expensive contractor, and we found that to be true. The quote was very fair but what set them apart is that the estimate didn't change at all through the design process except for some very small additions that we clearly added. And the same price and schedule held through the entire project, again except for a few small changes we requested. Onn suggested several design tweaks that all improved the final product but all were no cost items and or very minor charges where they clearly needed to order more expensive materials. This was a vastly different experience from other contractors who promised a range of cost but grossly inflated the price after detailing the design even though nothing changed. All in all, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Blues Brothers Construction for any home remodel and will gladly go to them again for our future needs.”
