“We worked with Josh to design and project manage an extension to our 1930s house in Dublin 7. It included demolishing our old kitchen and lean-to sheds, and building a new kitchen/dining room with a downstairs bathroom / utility room. Beforehand we visited several clients in the local area who had positive experiences with House Architects. The pricing structure was very clear. Josh was a pleasure to work with, and unflappable, which is always very reassuring. Once we had designs we were happy with, he worked to put the project out to tender and managed the relationship and the payments to the builder. This was the most valuable aspect for us. Particularly towards the end of the project, there were probably issues where we would have let the builder cut corners, but it was great to have Josh there to hold the line and ensure the project was completed to specification. We've been living with our extension for 18 months now and we're delighted with it - it's transformed the way we use the house and the garden.”

“We hired Style my Room to complete a design for our kitchen/dining and living rooms. We had a lot of space however our rooms were badly laid out and didn't fit the needs of our family. We met with Jackie Carton and she got a feel for what we wanted to achieve within the space available and she came back with 2 great options. She did a reconfiguration of 2 rooms which was much more appropriate to our needs and a kitchen refit. We also got her to suggest an interior design for us and we were extremely happy with this. She listened to what we wanted and was very respectful of our budget. She came back with mood boards with designs for each room on them and after we took them in and made some small changes (although I would totally trust her design judgement) we were very happy with the outcome. I must say the overall results have been fantastic and we are very happy with the overall finished product. The new room configuration has really maximised the space we have and is so much more appropriate to our needs. and our growing family. The design is modern and fresh but it is very much in keeping with what we wanted. We found Louise to be extremely professional and knowledgeable and she had great ideas on how to bring our vision to life within our budget. Louise had endless patience as she educated us on the range of options available. Where we brought suggestions Louise was able to source the required products. Where items we liked were too expensive Louise could always suggest more cost effective alternatives. “David worked on our house renovation from Jan-Jul 2016. We found him to be personable, accessible, opinionated (in a good way) and committed to delivering a project that works well and is beautiful. During the design of our house, David worked through three iterations of drawings until he and we agreed a plan. David gained a good understanding of what we needed and incorporated our needs into the plans. David helped us to recruit a very good builder. During the build it was invaluable having David around to ensure building was being done in accordance with national safety standards but also to negotiate with the builder how certain work should be done e.g. David insisted on RSJs being recessed, had strong opinions on the height of the extension, and the positioning of a roof light to achieve maximum light and aesthetic appeal. David was a great help in telling us where to source materials in particular the door but also floors, the kitchen and bathroom furniture. He renovates houses all the time so if you know what you want, he can tell you where to get it. David is really interested in producing beautiful work so he's a great person to have in your corner and is always a pleasure to deal with. We recommend highly.”
