“I recently moved to a brand new apartment from a traditional Victorian terraced house after 30 years and so I wanted something totally new and different to what I had lived with previously. My taste is not very modern at all and so I was wanting someone who could help me create a really stylish space that would still suit my tastes (quite eclectic I must add!) In addition it is a really small and compact flat and so I needed some clever thinking on how and what to use, where. I decided to try My Bespoke Room as there service felt very affordable (only £75 per room) and they agreed to come and do an on site visit for a very small additional charge. Using them meant that I could still be in control of what was ordered and my budget, as they just gave me all the tools which saved me loads of time. I was so excited to see it transform that I kept updating them and I really felt they were as excited as I was and really into the project too which was really nice! I got on really well with both of them straight away and was really impressed with what they came up with. It is such a slick an easy service and their virtual moodboard is really cool. It covered everything from paint colours, wallpaper to furniture and finishing touches, including coat hooks and an umbrella stand! This was money well spent and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for some help in designing and furnishing their homes. Well done girls!!!”

“We had a very small child's bedroom which had an awkward layout with never enough storage, which meant our daughter didn't really like being in it. She really needed something more grown up and has lots of lego, books and soft animals, which needed storing! Beverley from dillon&beth was incredibly enthusiastic and was great to work with as she was determined to create a room that our daughter loved being in. We are delighted with the end result and the room feels totally transformed despite Beverley working to keep as much of the original room and layout as possible in order to minimise costs. Our daughter loves her new room and loves being in it now.”

Mood boards, advice and access to her impressive knowledge of all things interiors gave me complete faith and confidence in the works being carried out. She has proved with the right guidance that great interiors can be achievable and has made my dream flat a reality and a completely different space to live in which works perfectly for me. “Malaika's work is impressive on so many levels. Firstly, her great attention to detail. She 'interviewed me' many times to get a holistic picture of what I liked, how I wanted to use the space, what was important to me and what had been my barriers etc. Her design considered floor to ceiling, corner to corner, taking the time to patiently explain to me how colours and textures work together; how natural and artificial light can be used; But giving me choice and control over all aspects. Then how she presented her ideas, drawings to exact scale, textured samples and costs was really professional and reassuring. Photos on a website can only capture some of the perfect colours and finishing touches. But when you actually sit and use the spaces, only then can you truly get a sensory experience. E.g. the richness of the textures that you can't resist touching; how everywhere you look, you see something beautiful to appreciate and the clever design of effective storage spaces without compromising on the beauty. The quality of materials used such as the cushion covers, seat covers, curtains all beautifully stitched and made to measure is gorgeous. One can't deny her talent! Malaika showed great sensitivity and respect for my emotional needs, my culture and identity, my budget etc. Nothing was too much! I could ask questions freely, she adapted her design many times for my satisfaction and oversaw the transformation from beginning to end. Words can't express how delighted and grateful I am to Malaika for designing and project managing every step of this beautiful rennovation. I live in a safe and a beautiful space that finally fulfills it's potential. It is a dream come true.”

“St James design was recommended to me by a colleague in work when I was working in London I hired James to carry out a bathroom installation at my house in Berlin. On his first visit we went through designs of the type of bathroom I could have Within the area given. I wanted a bathroom that offered a calm and appealing approach whilst being minimalistic. I wanted to implement a clean storage systems that was hidden within the wall. James managed to supply me a beautiful shower with soft porcelain Tiles a nice glass shower screen and a beautiful bathroom suite. Everything is hidden away and it looks very clean and spacious. I will be definitely recommending him to my friends and family”

“Emilie was brilliant. She did a complete renovation of my Victorian terrace, upstairs and down, including kitchen extension and reviving some original features that had been stripped away. She took my (attempts at explaining) my style and turned it into an actual vision. She gave me solutions to using the space which I had been defeated by and saved me a lot of money on bad furniture decisions. The contractors Emilie brought in were great too. A friendly, hard working team I came to know and like well. Before she got to work, I basically regretted buying my house. The house had so many issues and we didn't have a lot of room in the budget, but she delivered a home I never want to leave. She is very friendly and professional, never lets you feel like you're alone. Highly recommend.”
