“Karen was engaged to help plan and organize the great room of our new home. The room was larger than our previous living room, a different shape, and a complete different color scheme than we had. She helped with deciding which pieces of our current furniture would work, suggested pieces we might want to purchase (and offering suggestions of where we might shop), the layout of the room for best functionality and how to dress the walls. Karen’s warm and calm personality makes working with her very pleasurable. She asks clients to complete a form so she can learn their style, desired uses of rooms, etc. She carefully listens to her clients and then helps plan their spaces to best fit them. She willing works with her clients’ circumstances, acknowledging that sometimes they are not in a position to complete the design plan all at once. “Penny Wiseman recently completed her second renovation at our home. This project involved Penny overseeing the decorating of a separate living room and family room into a single Great Room conversion. Penny made numerous visits to our home, taking measurements and choosing colors for wall paint, furniture, window coverings, and carpet. Even though her specialty is windows, Penny's attention to design detail, fabric texture, and overall room comfort was sought out for this project, based on our previous experience with her in regard to these professional skills. During a three week absence from the total project, my wife and I felt comfortable having Penny open up our home to have the renovated area painted, carpet laid, and furniture delivered. Shortly after our return, Penny hung window hardware and installed lovely color-perfect shades and window covering panels. A perfectionist, she has asked to return to press the draperies once more to make certain they meet her standards. As a final touch, she sewed several pillows with matching window covering fabric for the new sectional couch.
