“Kevin Skelly built my house 8 years ago. It was such a terrific experience that we have remained friendly ever since. It is a modern house with clean lines that demanded care and perfect angles. He and his crew were as demanding that it be right as we were. The house sits on a very difficult site in the mountains without a lot of room to maneuver, yet it went well and with the exception of some weather delays had a timely completion. We had an expert come in at the framing stage to make sure everything was OK and Kevin was highly complimented for his work and he made the small adjustments recommended happily. Kevin and the architect worked as a team, which saved a lot of money and stress and time. Any changes needed were much simpler and instead of reams of working drawings, they were so used to working together that it went without any problems at all.”

“Douglas is a man of integrity. ALL of his subcontractors would be someone I would invite to dinner! When ever there was a problem, Douglas made sure it was attended to immediately. After the construction we discovered a broken pipe...not one his team had installed, but he paid through his insurance for the entire redo of the area where the pipe broke. The insurance company said they could not believe that Douglas did not want to contest any part of the claim. They said he must be a terrific person. Regarding the construction.: Douglas designed a .5 bath and a .75 bath from a former ugly, useless single bath. The design was perfect. Both bathrooms are roomy and contain ore than adequate storage for everything and more. Everyone who has seen it has been very impressed.”

“James and Simone have been wonderful to work with! What started with a few rooms of hardwood, transitioned into a complete home remodel. James was always willing to give me what I wanted despite numerous changes and special modifications. James pricing is so reasonable. Although, I did go over budget, that was because James was willing to help me create unique features in my house, that are not available without extra labor and materials, all of which, I knowingly chose to add to our budget. He and his assistants have become great friends. I am going to miss them, when all of the projects are finished!”

“The Salamander Co. built the home in Taos where we curreently live. The house is a showcase inside and out. The details, the woodwork, tile,plaster etc. are superb. This is a highly knowlegable, highly professional company. Every time I show off the house I make sure to point out the details such as the wide windowsills or the back screen porch with a brick floor, and red pine half walls and posts coming seamlessly out of the top. “This was my 19th foreclosure and after meeting with John and hearing his recommendations for making this into a cost effective rental, I decided to let them make virtually all the decisions within an overall budget. Usually I am very hands on, effectively the GC. Here I let them do their job and am happy with the result. No job is without some issues, esp. what the bid includes/doesn't include. All issues were resolved satisfactorily within a few minutes. I would not hesitate to use them again, inc. on my own residence.”

“Arpad remodeled my kitchen and bathroom and did a terrific job. Tom Treece was respectful of my choices, efficient and the consummate professional. His subcontractors were the best in town. The work didn't take as long as I anticipated, and best of all,came in under budget. My kitchen is a small space and after the remodel, works perfectly for my needs and looks beautiful - so does the bathroom. I would recommend Arpad to anyone who cares about quality, trustworthiness and working with a true professional. I must add that he is the only contractor I have ever known or heard of who listens to classical music while he works.”

“In 2011 my partner and suffered a house fire and lost our home and all of our belongings.
