“I chose Daniels Design and Remodeling to convert a pre-existing in-law suite area into a bar and billiard room which now resembles a true pub atmosphere. Ted Daniels was very knowledgeable, intuitive, and delivered EXACTLY what I envisioned. Ted and his designer Claire were very patient, detail oriented, and thorough, providing my wife and I with multiple options and personal advice for every aspect of the project. They were instrumental in delivering a space that fully met our expectations. Everyone involved in the project was very friendly, professional, and trustworthy. I would definitely call Ted for future projects and highly recommend his company to others.”

“I had an unfinished basement project and contacted THH. Cody and his team did a FANTASTIC job executing my vision! He reworked the layout, plumbing, electric, ventilation system, drywall and painting. Cody gave me new ideas and solutions to make the space more efficient! I highly recommend this company! “Capital City Builders did an excellent job remodeling two bathrooms and a kitchen. The bathrooms and kitchen were both complete guts. The work was done on time and on quote. “Total kitchen renovation extending kitchen area by removing the dining room and having an open concept layout to the living room area. Project was started on time and was completed in a reasonable time frame. Workers are professional and polite. As always in a major renovation project, you will run into some unexpected issues but the company will work with you financially and suggest recommendations to cut out extra costs at the same time overcoming any project issues. I will be hiring them again to do my next bedroom/bathroom renovations. I already have brought them back to extend my wood flooring into my basement.”

“Between 2002 and 2003, Michael Ipsan/Horizon took a small 1,800 square foot circa 1942 farmhouse and integrated an addition that more than tripled the size of the house and resulted in a beautiful contemporary farmhouse, with upgrades to plumbing, electrical, windows and siding in the original part of the house. The integration was seamless and the project came in on-time and on-budget, with wonderful workmanship. While we had retained an architect for the overall design, Michael made many useful suggestions on tweaks to the design that significantly improved the outcome. The kitchen and pantry were recognized by HGTV in their American Home 2005 show, and in 2008 the house was recognized with a spot on the Historic Garden Week in Virginia tour, both testaments to the quality of the construction. We've had other friends who've had nightmare construction projects with other builders; our experience was exactly the opposite. Warranty issues were minor, and Horizon has stood behind the construction even to this day. In the years since it was completed we've been happy to have Michael walk other prospective clients through the house to see what was done, which speaks to our respect for his work and honesty. We can highly recommend Horizon to anyone considering a custom home builder.”
