Description of work: We needed to build a new 300 square foot patio in the backyard of our Park Slope, Brooklyn brownstone.We wanted it to be aesthetically in keeping with the historic character of our house, so we wanted bluestone, and knew we would be fairly picky about the design of the stone and pavers with regard to the patio floor, wall, (separating patio from a raised garden area), capping and borders. We also had practical concerns about drainage, possible future shifting and cracking of stones, and the relationship to an existing garden area. At the same time we also needed it done quickly, and we didn't want to spend a ton of money.”
