“We have contracted with Earthshare Construction to design and restore a 19th century Vermont farmhouse. We chose Earthshare Construction because of owner Ethan Cole's commitment to the environment, knowledge of period home construction, responsiveness to our questions, and an overall balance of authority and openness to our design requests. We originally planned on tackling the project ourselves believing our remodeling projects over the past 30 years would suffice. We decided to call a few contractors in just to see if we were on the right track. I was sold on Ethan as the contractor for us when he quickly assessed our view and stated "We need to find a way to bring the outdoors in!" Throughout the design stage Ethan has been true to that vision and has recognized the beauty of incorporating and retrofitting original aspects of the house. Our design plans do just that in an environmentally responsible way. We begin construction in the next few weeks and look forward to working with Ethan over the next year.”

“Jim does beautiful work. He is reasonable, prompt and reliable. His son, who often works with him is such a nice guy..even our dogs loved him. He did a wonderful bathroom and kitchen remodeling for us and put down new wide pine floors in the bedrooms. He works closely with skilled plumbers and electricians and completed the job quickly and efficiently. I would definitely recommend him to anyone in need of a good general contractor.”

“The Snow Brothers are very easy to work with. They are excellent builders, and will work within your budget. One of the most valuable traits is their honesty - they will give you their opinion on whether or not something will work or not in your environment - and have enough experience to offer alternatives that might be more appropriate. They are very responsive returning calls and emails promptly. Their work is neat and of the highest quality. Their subs are also very polite and very experienced. They also have great sense of humors which is necessary when building a new house!”
