Choice of fixtures, fittings and finishes has been made clear and samples have been produced on request. The delivery and building program are on time and, as the cost is fixed, on budget. “John Tolly undertook a complete renovation of our 1980's bungalow: managing all other trades. The incremental (staged) payments as work progressed was very reassuring as it made us confident the trades would return and complete the job, it also keeps the funds in our account longer!. John started the project in Feb 2014 and completed in early May. All of his chosen sub-contractors were well known to him and that installed further confidence in us. He did everything and more, very reliable and competent builder who also has the ability to manage a complete project. The whole image of the company is credible, vehicles are smart etc. Would absolutely recommend this company for projects large or small with no hesitation.”

“We first used GH Walters & Son in 2012 when they took on a major project at our home for Disabled Facilities. The work that initially was deemed to be a 6-8 week job turned into 6 months, due to many unforeseen issues with the project, not with the Builder, not helped by me adding various extra jobs along the way, which Mr Walters was very patient about and accommodated me with whatever ideas I had. I am not an easy client to work for, I insist on high standards and do not tolerate poor workmanship. When this first contract came to an end I could not have been more pleased and I knew I would be calling upon this firm for future projects. Since then we have employed GH Walters & Son to do a number of jobs for us, including a new 2nd Bathroom, redecorating our main lounge, dealing with two external gable walls, cladding both, redecorating the whole of our large Bungalow externally, rendering walls, new flashing and tiles on our roof, the list is a long one and even in the case of emergencies they are with us as quickly as they can be sorting any and all issues out. In fact since 2012 there has only been one year when they have not come and done some form of work or another for us, no job is too small, no task too much, in fact they are almost like family now and we would not think about employing anyone else to do work for us. In 2021/22 we are hoping to be able to sign them up to fit a new Kitchen for us and I have no doubt that there will be some other jobs, between now and then, that will need their attention too! I do not hesitate in recommending this Builder he is honest, reliable, fair, patient and professional, traits which these days are hard to find.”

“Nicky and the team were so respectful of my needs and my obsession for it to be a clean job as I hate mess! We invited more than 7 or 8 builders to give us a quote for our one storey extension and we'd made up our minds within 30 seconds that most of them weren't the right builders for us. With Nicky, it was the opposite and we knew from the off that he was the right builder. He was friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and above all a perfectionist which clearly came across, and nothing less than a perfect job would do for him. Nicky gave us confidence and delivered on his promises, was reliable (very rare in this trade!) and throughout the whole process he kept us updated, explained what was going on and only charged us as each stage of the process was completed with a clear breakdown. He went out of his way on several occasions to save us money (he's as honest as the day is long) and finished the job on time to an exceptional standard. I honestly can't recommend him enough. Tradesmen like Nicky and his fantastic team really are rare diamonds and if you use them, you won't be disappointed.”

“Having never undertaken building work before, we entered the process with some trepidation. A colleague strongly recommended HighSpec and from the outset it was clear they were the most professional of the 3 quoting companies. There was a very personal touch in Andrew’s meetings . We weren’t rushed at all and he was happy to guide us through the various complexities. The quote was clear and not littered with “provisional sums” seen in other estimates. This gave us confidence in choosing them. Ultimately the work did not increase in cost throughout the full 6 month project, apart from some additions we chose to make along the way (including underfloor bathroom heating – highly recommended!) We had extensive work done – a full loft conversion with en suite, and 2 additional bathrooms, plus new plumbing and electrics throughout. At all times, the whole team from HighSpec were friendly and respectful. We had a very open working relationship, in which we invited them to give views on our ideas, based on their experience. It was genuinely enjoyable having them in the house. They were great with our kids, and a pleasure to chat to during breaks in ours and their working schedules. We never once saw them start late, or down tools early. Hassan, Dave and Alex are clearly excellent craftsmen. We appreciated their perfectionism and attention to detail.
