“My Wife and I chose to hire C&D Company when we purchased our new home in DC in February 2015. The house was built in 1937 and was never renovated up until 2015 so we had to go through a full renovation of the entire house including the basement and the backyard to bring it up to today's standard of living. We consulted friends and family and C&D came with the highest amount of recommendations and when we contacted them, we found Dago to be very responsive and thorough during the interview, budget and contract process. This also continued during the actual construction, they managed to complete the renovation on time and with high quality of work. The team is very professional and also considerate of the neighborhood and so naturally we received complements from our neighbors on the same. Now, its almost two years since completion of the initial project and Dago is still helping us with any issues that come up at the house periodically. “Between 2002 and 2003, Michael Ipsan/Horizon took a small 1,800 square foot circa 1942 farmhouse and integrated an addition that more than tripled the size of the house and resulted in a beautiful contemporary farmhouse, with upgrades to plumbing, electrical, windows and siding in the original part of the house. The integration was seamless and the project came in on-time and on-budget, with wonderful workmanship. While we had retained an architect for the overall design, Michael made many useful suggestions on tweaks to the design that significantly improved the outcome. The kitchen and pantry were recognized by HGTV in their American Home 2005 show, and in 2008 the house was recognized with a spot on the Historic Garden Week in Virginia tour, both testaments to the quality of the construction. We've had other friends who've had nightmare construction projects with other builders; our experience was exactly the opposite. Warranty issues were minor, and Horizon has stood behind the construction even to this day. In the years since it was completed we've been happy to have Michael walk other prospective clients through the house to see what was done, which speaks to our respect for his work and honesty. We can highly recommend Horizon to anyone considering a custom home builder.”

“Tim Bullins was our general contractor. Tim's attention to detail and quality products were exceptional. We've had several homes built for us over the years and this home is the best of the bunch. He is easy to work with and listens to you. You would have thought he was building his own house as he made sure proportions and design were not only solid, but aesthetically pleasing. He has a small crew who work with him on all his jobs; all had high standards. We live in a rural area and when I mention that Tim built our house, the general response is "you got a good one." His reputation is well established in the area. You can get it cheaper, but not better. When it came time to review the bookkeeping, his records were so complete I could find no error (unusual). Finally, home was finished as scheduled.”
