Magda worked with our crazy schedule and even crazier design ideas to help us create a space that is not only beautiful, but functional and easy to maintain. Magda provided subtle hints and advice as we selected materials with an eye towards ensuring our choices would stand the test of time and fit our budget. We felt confident that we knew how the job would unfold, thanks to Mike and his weekly check-ins and comprehensive calendar. Meeting all of the trades people prior to the commencement of work gave us the peace of mind that we would not have any surprises and that our home and puppy were in good hands. All of the crews were meticulous and worked hard to ensure that the chaos of the remodeling was limited to the bathrooms. Mike always went above and beyond expectations to ensure we were comfortable and the work met our expectations. When the plumber had a schedule conflict, Mike appeared at our door at 7 pm on a Friday night to install our toilet! Due to outstanding design work, craftsmanship and materials, our bathrooms still look new and add incredible beauty, value and functionality to our home. “These two produce beautiful work! Over the last few years, they have completed several projects at my house. 1. While I was having the house re-roofed, Aloha redesigned the entrance of my home, including moving the doors to a better location and they sourced and installed two special-ordered maple trees for either side. They also opened the height of a wall inside my home for a more specious feel in the new entryway 2. Removed an old deck in the front of my home and filled the underlying eroded area, with gravel and appropriate drainage infrastructure, preparing the area for a poured concrete walkway, by building concrete forms, and finishing the surrounding area for landscaping. 3. Built a curved, redwood deck and fence (I believe photos are here on their page) with sustainable redwood 4. Installed a larger 3-basin sink in my kitchen I have been very happy with their work, and recommend it to others. I am so pleased with the beautiful results!”

“Chris did a kitchen and living room remodel for us. I have worked with architects a number of times in the past and this was by far the best experience. Chris acts as the architect, construction manager and master carpenter. He brings to his work an outstanding artistic ability combined with a sense of humor and a "git er done" attitude. I particularly appreciated his willingness to take another look at something planned or already done and talk about options if we wanted to change something. He' suggest a variety of options with a guestimate of what each would cost. This was always done with a positive and helpful attitude and ensured that we got what we wanted. As the work progressed, Chris would suggest ideas or options that came to him from being on-site so much of the time. Chris uses only the very best sub-contractors that he has vetted in the past. I heard him tell each one, "I'll meet you at the job site at x time." He'd meet them, lay out the work and tell them his expectations, including, "Call me, if I'm not here, when you're close to finishing." They knew not to leave before he met them and reviewed their work. If anything wasn't up to his standards, he told them what to fix and they fixed it. The kitchen is wonderful and the fireplace area that was so ugly is now as beautiful as I thought and hoped it would be, but didn't know how to create it myself. Chris talked over ideas with us, came up with a tile layout and with my wife and I came up with a beautiful design that fit our house. He directed us to a local tile maker who made up some glaze samples for us and got the perfect colors. She made a couple suggestions that improved the design as did the tile setter. The process was very collaborative and enjoyable. Lastly, Chris recommended a local artist that he knew to paint the new plaster work on the exposed chimney. It was done with several shades and glazes and is gorgeous. We couldn't be happier with both the process and the results.”
