They provided the expertise, but also integrated our tastes and desires. For example: We were having trouble finding railing for the deck. They found some wonderful salvage from a motel upgrading its swimming pool enclosure. It came out great. The unique characteristic of this outfit is that they only do one project at a time, and get it done fast. That's why we chose them over another company. They lived up to their reputation and promises schedule-wise. Not only would we hire them again, we did! In addition to the addition, they came back to build a retaining wall for a terrace, and detached three-bay garage, which they sell as a kit. We did a variation where the third bay is a wood shop. They built a nice custom rolling barn door between the shop and the garage. Final note: Loveless Custom Building is a family company, father & son (plus small crew.) The father and son have a great relationship, work well together. It's refreshing to have so little drama and dysfunction.”

“David Shields did an excellent job remodeling my 1985 kitchen. He made it "new", but kept the Santa Fe look and feel, which is why we bought the house. He replaced the counter tops without destroying the backsplash (something two other contractors said could not be done). He added cabinets in the same style and finish of the old ones and you cannot tell the difference. He replaced all of the appliances, moving some for a better work triangle. He added a custom made island and a large kitchen desk. Now I love working in my kitchen!”
