“Morris Blinds installed beautiful vertical blinds in my kitchen, breakfast room, greatroom, and my husband's "man cave". “Patty VIs was our EXCEPTIONAL interior designer and Window Treatment specialist for the Hunter Douglas Designer Screens, Shutters and Hunter Douglas Soft Touch Roller Blinds that we purchased. Patty knew everything about these products and she advised us professionally and appropriately for our needs. Patty was also a joy to work with, whether we met her in the Village Paint & Design or at our home. She made a point of re-explaining all information to my husband, who was also involved with this expensive, yet perfect, solution to window treatments for our "new" home. Once the product arrived, we had a date for installation. Patty was aware of our budget and she made it perfectly clear as to the cost of these high end products.”

“They do more than just windows. I had them do 4 closets in my apartment. They looked and acted very professional. They were extremely neat and considerate of my space when installing them. Dan was truly concerned that I was happy with the end product. When making the plans, he considered where everything was going to go and even made suggestions to utilize space near the electrical box. He made sure it wouldn't be covered up, yet was not wasted space. Another company's plans showed the shelving obstructing the electrical box. They always showed up when they said they would and came in exactly on estimate. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again for another project or suggest them to a friend.”

“I would recommend them to anyone needing window coverings. The sales representative, Joel Snavely, was courteous and very helpful. There was no pressure to purchase anything! Install was scheduled for 1-2pm and the installer was here at 1pm. Dillon, the installer, was fantastic! He was very efficient and friendly. Was done in about 20 minutes. We love our new blinds and if ever in need again will for sure use them!!”

When choosing curtains, consider their function, whether for privacy, light blocking, or decor enhancement. Take into account the room’s style, choosing curtains that complement the overall decor in terms of colour, pattern, and fabric texture. Measure the window accurately to ensure the curtains are the right size and length, considering whether you prefer floor-length or sill-length curtains. Select curtain fabrics based on light-blocking abilities, durability, and ease of cleaning.
In general, your curtains width should be double the width of your windows. For length, this depends on if you want floor length, sill length curtains or below sill. For sill length curtains, they should sit 1cm above the windowsill. Below length curtains generally sit around 15cm under the sill. For floor length curtains, ensure there is at least a 1cm gap between them and the floor. If your window has a radiator underneath it, the curtains should stop around 2-3cm above the radiator to avoid heat being absorbed by the curtain.
Simply measure from where you want your blinds to start (the rail), to where you want your blinds to finish. Add 10-15 cms to this to prevent light bleed. To ensure your blinds fit correctly, take measurements at 3 equal points across your window and use the longest size.
