“I had roller shades installed in my condo back in November and am very very happy with them. David (the owner) was great to work with, he was thorough and patient and offered a very fair price. He also handled the entire project himself from start to finish including the quote and installation, which signals to me that he is very invested in making clients happy and performing high quality work. Additionally, I think dealing with 1 person from start to finish helps reduce communication errors and helps develop a strong understanding between client and business. When David brought samples over for the estimate, I agonized over the color and fabric etc etc and David patiently helped me narrow down the choices to fit my taste and needs. I chose light filtering roller shades in the living room (to keep the living area illuminated during the day) and blackout roller shades in the same exact style for my bedroom so that I can sleep comfortably during the day when I work night shift. After the initial consult (which took under 1 hour), the blinds were ready to install a few weeks later. The install was also very quick, maybe a little over an hour to hang up 5 different roller shades. Overall, the entire process was very efficient and painless. David had a lot of different options to choose from and offered a great price. Highly recommend.”

When choosing curtains, consider their function, whether for privacy, light blocking, or decor enhancement. Take into account the room’s style, choosing curtains that complement the overall decor in terms of colour, pattern, and fabric texture. Measure the window accurately to ensure the curtains are the right size and length, considering whether you prefer floor-length or sill-length curtains. Select curtain fabrics based on light-blocking abilities, durability, and ease of cleaning.
In general, your curtains width should be double the width of your windows. For length, this depends on if you want floor length, sill length curtains or below sill. For sill length curtains, they should sit 1cm above the windowsill. Below length curtains generally sit around 15cm under the sill. For floor length curtains, ensure there is at least a 1cm gap between them and the floor. If your window has a radiator underneath it, the curtains should stop around 2-3cm above the radiator to avoid heat being absorbed by the curtain.
Simply measure from where you want your blinds to start (the rail), to where you want your blinds to finish. Add 10-15 cms to this to prevent light bleed. To ensure your blinds fit correctly, take measurements at 3 equal points across your window and use the longest size.
