“I had searched for vintage, old growth oak flooring in my area for over a year. Having found a beautiful home in Glencoe slated for demolition, I removed 800 sq ft of the vintage quarter sawn and rift sawn floors, de-nailed them and brought them home. Then came the search for the installer. I called around and had a classified ad up. Michael from Mysha's Flooring came out to bid on the job. He was professional and full of knowledgable tips for us whether we used his services or not. A great guy. His bid was not the lowest, but we felt confident in his work. So we decided to hire him. He removed the old flooring and installed the reclaimed, quickly and carefully. Always aware of surrounding areas and kept the job site clean and organized. He kept us in the loop on all phases of the job. I feel like we hit the jackpot with Michael. The floors look beautiful and full of character. He is a lovely person and a truly skilled craftsman with high standards. Would highly recommend him.”

“Dillion refinished and restored our beat up 1955 wood flooring. It is absolutely beautiful! Dillion is a true craftsman. He is also returns calls and emails very promptly and he is extremely patient. I thought I wanted to stain the floors and Dillion applied several stain options and waited patiently while I agonized for 45 minutes. He was very kind and did not offer his opinion until the very end. I would use Dillion again in a heartbeat and would highly encourage his services.”

“I had a flooring project that I was requesting quotes for that had a very small window for completion. Originally Wizard of Wood Flooring passed on my request because they didn't think they could work within my time frame. After follow up conversations and a site visit they did provide a quote. I am so happy that I hired Mike and his team. The finished product is gorgeous; friends and neighbors always comment when the come to the house for the first time on how nice the floors look. The installation team was professional and highly knowledgeable as well as skilled. I have recommended them a number of times, and would hire them again if given the choice.”

“I have known Rick and Dawn (Floorwerks) for about 10 years. They have updated all of the outdated ceramic and carpeting flooring throughout my entire home to new wood floors. They also replaced all of my outdated oak railings to beautiful black iron/cherry wood railings and spindles to coordinate with my new natural cherry flooring. In addition to working on projects in my own home, Rick has also provided all of my flooring work for my Interior Design/Remodeling business as well.
