“Custom Home Finish did a wonderful job for us. Kevin helped us create an entryway perfect for our family. We talked through a few rounds of what it would look like until it was just what we wanted. He also custom made closet doors for an odd shaped unit of built in shelves for us. Kevin and his team were very professional and on time and reliable. I will be hiring them again in the future.”

“Jessy did an outstanding job for us once again! He removed our old oak floor and carpet in our living room and the oak floor in our hallway. He replaced it with a new subfloor. Jessy and his partner also painted our living room and hallway. It looks amazing! After they finished, it looked like a brand new room. They are extremely talented individuals. Jessy also repaired our living room window trim at the top. It had some damage where it was sinking in the middle due to possible water damage. Jesse and his partner are very professional and always do what they say they are going to do. They are very polite and are always on time. This is very rare in the carpentry field. We will definitely be hiring Jessy for future projects. You won't find anyone that cares more about your remodeling needs.”

“I contracted DBI Woodworks for a commercial project (office space) in Newton last year. I wanted to design a circular reception area for a pharmaceutical company developing cancer drugs active at the cell nuclear level. The idea was to create the reception area as the inside of the nucleus, magnified 1 million time. I also needed a large curved reception desk. Dovi and Efraim from DBI were fantastic to work with (and that comes from an interior designer with a long family tradition of master wood workers and cabinet makers). They became part of the brainstorming team to help me figure out how to create curved perforated walls (nuclear pores in various states of dilatation/contraction) for a 24 ft diameter room. At all stages of the process I was impressed by their professionalism (deadlines, quotes, delivery/installation). I think they actually enjoyed the complexity of the project, and showed me how incredibly creative and skillful they can be. Using their CNC machine has since then inspired me a lot! Cannot wait for the next project with them.”

“We hired Matt to install all of the interior doors in our home. We had 21 doors including closets. All of them were different sizes and he had to cut them to fit our older door frames. Matt ordered the doors for us at a great value and he had them delivered so we didn't have to worry about anything. The cost of labor was reasonable for the size of the job. We are really happy with his service and will be using him again for future projects.”

“I hired MCC to redo my kitchen. In short - they did a fantastic job and we absolutely LOVE our new kitchen! MCC did everything from leveling the floor to putting our decorative knobs on the new cabinets. Chris even discovered some weather damage to our siding which he fixed (and did correctly, as the previous owners took some shortcuts). What stood out the most to me was that he and his team took the time to put up plastic barriers over the doorways to contain the dust and keep it from going into the rest of the house. They also cleaned up after themselves every day. Every. Day. Not only professional, but just a good guy, personable and easy to work with. He and his wife managed all the vendors (scheduling of plumber and electrician) and ensured everything was up to code and properly inspected. My husband and I cannot recommend them enough and will definitely be using them for future projects.”

“We hired Castlemaine Construction to remove walls, re-do all plumbing, all electrical and raise/tray ceilings. Morgan and his associates always suggested ways to control costs but encouraged us to invest in such things as blown in insulation to improve the house. I was at the house most days and workers were helpful, respectful and the neighborhood people were positive in their comments about having the construction going on. We have happily downsized and are enjoying out new kitchen, bathrooms and living areas. Morgan and Mike were honest in their assessments of materials. They did closets, finish work such as building bookcases around the fireplace and painting. Other projects such as wood floors and tiling were handled by sub-contractors who were excellent at what they did and well known to Castlemaine. It was a long 4 months and Melissa, Morgans wife and office manger was also constantly helpful with e-mails and explanations about bills. I would highly recommended this company of hard working professionals.”

“Kevin Zook was our contractor for a kitchen remodel. He handled flooring, wall demo/reinstall, ceiling patching for new lighting, painting, trim work, tile backsplash, appliance install, toe/lock heater, and assisted with cabinetry install. Kevin is a consummate professional! He kept us informed every step of the way. There were no surprises ever. He kept our kitchen functional with sink, stove and microwave almost 100% of the time. And the best part is he always cleaned up when he was done for the day as if it were his own home. I would give more stars if I could. If you hire Kevin Zook you will be pleased with the price and the result.”
