NOTO Architects
Architects in Wiltshire
Average rating: 5 out of 5 stars16 August 2021
“Alice & Oscar of Noto have been excellent to work with in the extension of our London Victorian terrace home. They have been great partners in working to prepare a unique scheme that reflected our vision, while also bearing in mind our budget. Their practical and creative approach throughout the planning, approval, tender, specification and project management phases has been measured and considered, reflecting their extensive experience in their field of both architecture and construction. There is no doubt our project would not have worked out as well as it has, without their expertise. We would happily use their services again and recommend them to others.”
Go Plans

Average rating: 5 out of 5 stars31 December 2022
“Our experience with Go plans has been excellent. They arranged a home visit at very short notice, listened to our suggestions and compiled the initial drawings relatively quickly. They also successfully handled the whole planning permission process for us and provided a very fast and professional response to the requests and changes requested by the planning officer. We would definitely use them again for future work.”
Milton Architects
Architects in Wiltshire
Average rating: 5 out of 5 stars22 September 2015
“We employed Milton Architects to help us with a major (for us) project in transforming our rather quirky 1911 house. The project took c10 months and we made it more difficult for the architects and contractors by choosing to live in different corners of the house while work carried on around us. We are delighted with the end result. Mike Milton brought many innovative elements to the overall design and equal emphasis was placed on the practical considerations such as construction, plumbing, electrics and sourcing. The project incorporated constructional changes, renovations and improvements, two new extensions and a few demolitions. MA handled the project management very well, first through Mike and then his colleague Ros Leverett. The project - having allowed for the constraints and problems encountered along the way (asbestos, rotten timbers, crumbling foundations ...) was very close to the original budget and timescale, and the interactions with the construction company exemplary. So in conclusion we are very pleased to recommend Milton Architects highly and unreservedly for any project remotely similar to our own.”

“A friendly and professional practice - a pleasure to work with. Impressive timber frame design knowledge and excellent communication made this project an absolute joy - we hope to work with you again soon. So successful was this partnership that we've been jointly shortlisted for 'Best Oak Frame' at the Build It Awards 2014 - fingers crossed! Photo Credits: van Ellen + Sheryn”
Matthew Clay Architects Ltd
Architects in Wiltshire
Average rating: 5 out of 5 stars28 September 2016
“Matt was calm and capable. I approached him to help with designs for a side return extension in a fairly typical, slightly wonky victorian terrace. He did a great job of explaining things and talking me through what was possible vs what was viable! He was also responsive to queries and completed work in good time. The outcome has been a space transformed from dark and pokey to light and open. He suggested sliding doors instead of bifolds to optimise the view and I love them. Doing an extension can be stressful but it has transformed how I live. Matt's design - optimising light via a large panel of glass in the ceiling and big sliding doors makes such a difference despite being north facing.”

“CADup Ltd are a friendly and professional company that I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone. I have used CAD UP to produce technical detail drawings for my business since 2010 and have always been happy with the service they provide. The drawings are produced with meticulous detail and are presented clearly. Their costs are reasonable and go out of their way to meet deadlines. I would heartily recommend them to any one looking for architectural or detailed drawings.”
Fowler Architecture & Planning
Architects in Wiltshire
Average rating: 5 out of 5 stars21 December 2018
“After interviewing 2 (boring) architects, James Fowler was the last meeting of the day! We nearly chased him down the street when he left. His building knowledge, enthusiasm, energy and ideas far outshone anyone else’s. Over the following year, we worked with James, Rob Ben and Peter. All were fantastic! The level of professionalism, organisation and knowledge was second to none. I was warned that you would “fall out with your architect or builder”. This couldn’t be further from the truth. We received the highest standard of customer service and expertise. Every part of our large building project was dealt with perfectly and we felt very looked after every step of the way. I would highly recommend Fowler’s and have recommended them already to several people. We would use them again in the future. Thank you to them for making such a big project very stress free. Aimi and Ed Thomson”
Raylian Power Design

“We hired Nick and Paul at Raylian to lead a tricky 550 m2 office conversion into residential space in a prime location central Chiswick. Along with the practice personal creative skills I was very impressed by their technical know how. The teams knowledge of building regulations, local authority planning requirements and technical building skills saved me a substantial amount in architects fees and it was comforting to experience their confidence when addressing the builders and trades and the respect they attracted. The creative design planning stage and specification for finishes and furnishings was professional and stress free. It was great to have a designer sketch their ideas while explaining their thoughts. Discussing ideas in 3D is a real advantage. Given the licence to express themselves they came up with some really great ideas. Project management was equally important, especially with all the H&S requirements attached to the industry these days. I also felt once the budget was approved they made a good effort to protect it right through to completion. Raylian are a one stop shop for any size of residential project and I am happy to give them a 5 star review. AW. Chiswick.”

“I was recommended to e-ten by a friend who had been impressed with their service. I found Jonathan Nuth to be an intelligent and practical man who both listened to his client and thought laterally around the brief. His presentation of the planning application was such that we had no objections to our proposals and received approval without difficulty.”

“John took our ideas for a new kitchen extension and developed the plans and proposal so that we gained planning permission without any issues. John also attended the parish council planning meeting to ensure there were no issues at this stage. With his help and guidance a specification was developed from which we were able to have a number of contractors bid, going on to select one to complete the build. Although we knew exactly what we wanted out of this project we initially had trouble engaging builders before we started working with John, due to the unusual construction methods being used. With John’s expertise, advice and attention to detail on-board the project was completed and we have been enjoying the kitchen extension for the last six months.”
