“We had no prior relationship with Oakwood, but were impressed with the quality of staff that we dealt with, from the first contact through to the finished renovation. We needed a variance to be allowed to obtain the proper permits and John Liptak, owner of Oakwood was instrumental in obtaining this on our behalf. Without his personal interest in our renovation, we would not have proceeded with the project. John also gave us the benefit of his years of experience with various suggestions for our room. Our design specialist was wonderful, offering many unique ideas for us to consider, always offering various solutions to meet our budget. We particularly love the windows and paneling in our great room. The quality of the work was top notch. The wood craftsman assigned to our project did an exceptional job on the ceiling beams and the paneling. Dave’s work makes this room so beautiful and unique. The project manager was very knowledgeable and worked on our behalf to make sure that all the little details were dealt with to our satisfaction. Trent was very responsive to our needs and concerns. We can speak to Oakwood’s integrity and professionalism. They wanted the addition to be a room that we would be take pleasure and pride in for many years to come. We truly marvel at the room each day when we enter it. We are very satisfied with our experience and relationship with Oakwood.”

“Diane did an amazing job transforming our house into the perfect home! When we sold our house this past spring everyone kept commenting on the amazing design! Diane also did an amazing job managing the project - so much that I kept saying "doing a reno is easy"! I realize it was easy as Diane was carrying all my stress. She managed the timelines and the budget brilliantly! And of course - she was very easy and professional. I was always confident with her advice - I knew it was well researched and thought through! “We remember our first meeting with Jim when he was still with David Malling, first impression Jim is an excellent listener. We had done our research and were full of ideas on what we wanted in a home. Our dream home was not simple, curved walls, interesting roof lines, timber frame beams, oversized windows and doors, a massive fireplace, Jim made it all come to life on paper. Some of Jim's best attributes were his calm manner, promptness and availability. He was always reachable or prompt in getting back if we or our general contractor had a question or an issue. This was so reassuring especially when you are in the thick of a project of this magnitude. Building a home from scratch is never easy, but Jim helped simplify some decision making. His sample charts for example for the exterior of our home, he had choices for colour/style/texture to help us envision where we wanted stone versus brick and wood siding. When we think back on our overall experience in building our beautiful home, hiring Jim to design it was one of the best decisions we had made. Thanks Jim for making our dream come true !!!!!!”
