Ours was a complete reno utilizing the foundation as a footprint. Erik used that existing framework to create a stunning yet economically practical design. Not all designers stay actively involved during construction, but Erik did--beyond his contracted follow-up. He even got involved with design ideas beyond his scope of work and provided great suggestions all in keeping with our style. (Too) many times the contractor would attempt to negotiate line items that fortunately for us, EMK had detailed clearly in our plan.
