“I had an entire book of pictures of the type of house I wanted to build and had worked with a wonderful draftsman who laid out the house. We knew that we needed someone to help with the complicated roofline and the outside of the house and had friend who had John as the architect for their unique home. John helped us to translate my ideas into a picture perfect home. He laid out the complicated roofline, created a design for the outside of the home which captured the "lodge" look, including a signature window design, saved me from over and under estimating the size of rooms, created a unique yet wonderful floor plan. The home is both grand and intimate. He reminded me that there are three elements: size, detail, and cost.....and that I only got to have 2 of them! That helped a lot in the design and choice process. John is a gem...keen eye, sharp mind, both an artist and architect.”

The built a room edition on our home and we were very pleased with the quality of their work and the integrity of the owner and his employees. “Building a house with Doug Johnson of Ironwood Homes. Easy to work with. Explains everything in detail, and will answer any questions you have honestly and with your best interests at heart. He provides you with a binder that includes your house plans, selection categories and when they need to be completed, directions and contact people to make those selections. Everything spelled out as to what will be done. You can contact him anytime with questions either by email or office phone, and provides his personal cell phone should you need him for anything. He will check and double check with you to be sure he has your preferences correct. He plans every construction phase down to the nth degree to be sure he will have your home ready by the time he promised, or before. After working with a different contractor I can say that working with Doug has been a sheer pleasure and I would recommend him to anyone.”

“I hired Shepherd Interiors to do a makeover in my living room. We met early on to discuss what my likes and dislikes were and went from there. Patricia came back with a presentation that was very professional and very detailed. It was a complete decorating job which included window coverings, art, furniture, paint and lamps. I told Shepherd Interiors from the beginning I wanted the WOW factor and that is exactly what I got and every time I entertain I get the same WOW from my guests. They were very reasonable and stayed on budget. I would definitely hire her again.”
