“Our house was finished 10 years ago, what I remember was that Geoff Lentz and I had a lot of laughs in the design process and still enjoy catching up from time to time. I showed him pictures of what we wanted and he came up with a stunner. I would change things now (not a lot), but one has to live in the house to learn that.”

“Craig listened to our raw ideas and transformed them into a realisable home that looks great and that we really love living in. From the initial planning stages we were impressed with Craig’s ability to adapt our ideas into a workable plan. The design stage was an easy, streamlined process with good communication and amazing results. Craig continued to be quietly efficient during the construction and completion phases and was able to advise us when concepts were unworkable or needed revision. There are some wonderful features to the house and the feel of the spaces is wonderful. We wanted a character home with light, bright and open spaces that gave a sense of timelessness – and that is exactly what we got! It has amazing street appeal and, more importantly, a great feeling of flow throughout. We just love the house and have had so many compliments on it – we even have people walking past stopping to stare and some are even brave enough to knock on the door and ask who designed it. “When I was looking at building a house at our beach property at Whangamata, I was told to call Smartdraw Architecture. I met up with Nick with some concept plans I had drawn and discussed my intended project with him.
