Our office was in the same building, and we often stopped in to learn more about their projects. We've always been impressed by their great architectural sense of aesthetics, and their ability to create innovative work that blends well into the surroundings of the project location. “The team at McClellan Architects were fabulous to work with and we love the home they designed for us. It's not only beautiful, but it's very functional. McClellan Architects listened to our needs and created an amazing house for our family to build a lifetime of memories in. The home was even given a design recognition award by the American Institute of Architects. I'd highly recommend McClellan Architects.”

We could not have been happier with our experience and have referred several friends and family members! Jeff and his team not only cared about the project, but about us as people, which made all the difference. They were there to support when things got tough and were willing to increase the scope of their work to pick up new elements of our project like cabinet layout. We interviewed several firms and worked closely with an architect in the past and can tell you that without a doubt, having Highland Designs plan our home is one of the best decisions we've ever made.”

“Lane Williams took our dated and very tired looking 1960’s one story, pitched roof home with a daylight basement and transformed it into a beautiful modern home with strong horizontal and vertical planes and cantilevered masses. Lane's vision for the house really came together when we decided to spend the money to expand the carport to two cars. We were thinking it might not work, but when he showed us the renderings we both just thought wow – it balanced everything out and got us a look that was spectacular. “My wife and I have a difficult lot to build a house on due to its irregular slope, steep in some areas. In order to have a view of Puget Sound the main floor had to be as high as possible. Before hiring Rhodes Architecture + Light we met with a few builders who do their own design work. They were unable to come up with an acceptable way to achieve the floor height we need. This drove us to look for an architect. We selected Tim Rhodes because we liked his portfolio of completed projects and after meeting him felt we could trust him to do the job. Tim came up with a very clever design that incorporated all our requirements. We've been living in the house 14 months and are quite pleased. Tim's design gets many compliments from first time visitors. The only reason I didn't give Rhodes Architecture + Light five stars is cost estimation and control. Our construction cost ended up 40% above my desired target. To be fair this is common when building a house.”

“ArchiUS remodeled our media room, kids play room, lower floor and deck. The media room has become "the" place in the house. They are are insightful, reasonably priced and can reimagine a space like we could never have. So glad we hired them! Highly recommend!”

“Miriam designed my kitchen back in 2005. I had just moved into a new condominium which had a pretty basic no frills kitchen. The challenge was the space is relatively small -- perhaps 200 or so square feet. She worked with me to come up with an efficient but professional kitchen that allows me to continue to explore my passion for cooking. She had great ideas, but was always anchored in trying to figure out my vision of what I wanted. The result is a kitchen that I still enjoy immensely, and that won a design award. In addition, she worked extremely well with the construction company, which was in fact a design build shop that had its own ideas about the design (they came into the project later). There was never any tension or competition between the two of them. I cannot recommend Miriam highly enough. If I were to do another remodel I would hire her in a heartbeat.”

“I hired Theresa Freeman to design my kitchen, bath, laundry and entry and to relocate my basement stairs. Theresa drew preliminary drawings for me and after I chose the general layout continued to work with me on the details. Even when I changed my mind she patiently adjusted the drawings. She met with me and three contractors she had recommended. (I could not be happier with the contractor I chose.) She seemed to share my vision for my project. She was responsive and sympathetic. She was also my advocate. I depended on her expertise quite a bit from general design to little details. She is sweet but knowledgeable and appropriately resolute. How many people can say that their remodel was a happy experience?! I can.”

“My wife and I have used Matt Hutchins and CAST Architecture for two remodels and would go back for a third. We have found Matt to be very easy to work with. He has a great ability to synthesize our needs and space constraints into comfortable, livable spaces. For example, in our first remodel, moving the kitchen (something we hadn't considered) made all the difference. In our second remodel, expanding the back porch (again, something we hadn't considered) added a new dimension to the house from the street, a utilitarian space for barbecue and storage, and also a very functional transition space. Matt has also been very good at adapting his good tastes in finishes and furnishings to our sense of style—building upon what we like rather than overriding it. Wed'd recommend Matt very highly.”
