“Having built two homes before, we were impressed with what Step One Design had to offer and commissioned Mike to draw up the plans for our current home. Mike arranged to meet with us at our lot, listened to our ideas and offered feedback and suggestions to come up with a plan that fit us perfectly based on our wants and needs. He was accessible, easy to communicate with and provided the plans on schedule. Step one Design brought together our vision while paying attention to practicality, finances and the aesthetics of the home. We were extremely happy with Mike’s work, would use his professional expertise again and would not hesitate to recommend him to others.”

“What can I say about Josh, well, many things, but here is the nails and wood of who he is as a professional...My partner and I recently hired him to design a water facing home. He jumped right to work in meeting us at the property to check it out. He provided a very reasonable quote for his services. And then the design services began...he is so prompt in his work, he is versed in understanding and will guide you in the permit, contracting, and engineering aspects as well. Pictures to follow when our home is done. Thanks Josh, you made building our first home from the ground up a breeze!”

“We have met with Zebra a number of times to discuss renos and they have always been prompt, engaging and professional. When we hired them to do a small reno of a older home, they came up with great ideas on simple changes to make things more efficient or cost effective (e.g. moving the door to the kitchen to give room for a pantry - to this day, I love this change). They also took into account the needs of our family (4 kids/dog) and chose products that were durable”

“Villamar took over the design and project management of our home in early 2017 after we had difficulties finalizing the design and project cost with another firm. Villamar provided an accurate and transparent cost estimate which they followed through on. Specifically, Duane Ensing worked through the design details with us, enlisting the interior design services, where appropriate, of Lisa Dunsmuir (OneStep Design). We were happy with the design process and the effective problem-solving approach used. The site superintendent for the actual construction project was Drew Mackie. His attention to detail, to quality, and to ensuring we were satisfied with the outcome was his focus when working with us. His integrity is impeccable and allowed us to feel that our project was in reliable hands. After living in the completed house for six months, we can recommend Villamar without reservation to design, project manage and construct your new home.”

“We had a wonderful experience working with Jen on the plans for our home addition. She took time to discuss our needs and wants; as well as discover our design preferences - all while working within the scale and lines of our existing home. Jen took that information and came back with three unique approaches. We selected one and refined it as a team. She had excellent ideas regarding room sizes and placement. Now that our addition has been built, we can’t imagine our home without it. It looks as if it was always there. We highly recommend Jen Jones and her work.”

“It was great working with Lindsay putting together a design for my first house. He listened and provided some great suggestions, and his first draft was almost perfect. The big thing for me was we were working under a deadline to take advantage of a free building permit offer from Langford that was ending. He made the adjustments quickly and we got them in on time. Since then I have hired Aspire a couple time through my work to get some quick drawings with good results.”
