“Be assured that you will be in excellent hands with Stacy at SKM Design. We can not recommend her highly enough! We did not use an architect or designer for our previous 2 renovations and I wish we had known Stacy then. We literally have no regrets with the layout or design choices in our current house. We have a 1920’s traditional colonial and she was excellent at marrying the character of our older home with today’s modern amenities. She leaves no stone unturned, keeps her eyes on the budget, works quickly, is a task master and will come up with a design plan that fits your lifestyle and budget. Stacy will also help you refine or identify your aesthetic if you don’t already have one. For our renovation, she facilitated the bidding process and managed our project every step of the way. She was able to recommend 3 builders for the bidding and a slew of tradespeople. She‘s also a joy to work with and an outstanding human being- you will love having her around.”

“We hired Melissa to remodel our 1950's closed off kitchen with the end goal of opening up the space, adding more seating, and providing ample storage. She provided us with multiple renderings and was able to discuss the pros/cons of each while keeping our budget in mind. Once we decided which layout worked best, she helped me shop and keep in mind the "whole picture" rather than just focusing on small details. Her ability to visualize the finished project was invaluable because she saved me both time and money! Once construction began, she worked closely with the builder and subs to monitor the project. Our project finished both on-time and on-budget because of her dedication to our project. Our new kitchen is truly the heart of our home. It's both functional and beautiful and that is in large part due to Melissa. I highly recommend her!”

“Joe Bergin is a wonderful architect, and a wonderful person to work with. Joe is creative, has a tremendous sense of style, and is at the same time steeped in the history and traditions of architecture yet has a strong sense of the modern conveniences and living flow for today's family and lifestyle. Joe recently concevied and designed a 5,000 sq ft Shingle Style home for me and my wife in Chatham, Cape Cod, and we could not be more happy with the result. Joe met every time deadline we threw at him (and a few were admittedly unreasonable deadlines), and he absolutely exceeded our expectations at each stage of the process. What we have now is a treasure of a home that will be cited for years to come as a quintissential Shingle Style home in the genre of the "Architecure of the American Summer." Joe is also a kind and patient man, who is as much concerned about listening to us, his clients, as creating a beautiful structure that will be pleasing for generations to come. My wife and I are so pleased with his work, and we would of course hope to work with Joe on our next project.”
