The first on site meeting we explained what we wanted,Declan give ideas and quick sketches to show us what we could achieve. He then provided all the drawings for planning, building control and engineers reports . He was in contact with us the whole way through our job . “People say that building a house is one of the most stressful things you can do and they were not wrong. We 'survived' our house build and now we can safely say that Emmett and Fingal Planning consultants was one of the very few people that gave us consistent and sound advice/service. Our build was very complicated due to many factors, but chiefly the type of the house, a low-energy "passive house"-style, the location and having several contractors involved posed the greatest challenges. Emmett guided us through the process in his trademark no-nonsense approach and we were very lucky to have him when trying to manage all the stakeholders that a build inevitably has, like authorities, contractors, neighbours and so on. During the rough patches of the project, he always stuck by his word and actually did more than he originally signed up for. When Emmett says he will do something he does it; he is open, honest, and little ruffles his feathers - a much needed attribute when emotions are high and money is low! “Tom's ability technically is only surpassed by his creative flair. He was able to bring to life my vision of a modern family home and at the same time teach me why simplicity in architectural design could not be improved on by fashion or 'stuff'. After 10 years of bringing up a family in our house, we still regularly comment on how much we love living there and still occasionally catch an angle or vista that somehow we missed before. You may have 'ideas' of what is right, my advice is to listen to Tom and you won't regret the outcome.”

“Look no further, these guys are the best! I simply love our house now that we have extended and refurbished it to designs by 9yards! From their first visit I knew we would get on well, with their friendly, knowledgeable approach, and their design ideas were brilliant, all at a very affordable price - they truly have changed the way our family live, with a large open-plan kitchen/dining/living area where the whole family can congregate. We also engaged them to look after the job on site which took away all of the building stress - thank you 9yards!”

“Glen worked on plans for our house extension. He took the time to understand what our vision and current and future expectations of the house and the extension. Overall I would say he delivered and exceeded our expectations. Glen worked tirelessly on the designs and kept the project moving right through to planning permission stage. We were also pleased and reassured with the range of contacts for different aspects of the projects that he was able to provide.
