“Departure came out to our property after the 2013 Build-It-Green tour and talked to us about potential of building an ADU. A year later, we decided to move forward with building an ADU and again, contacted Dan Lajoie. He came out to our property with the notes and ideas discussed the previous year and was willing to spend a long time discussing our hopes for our ADU. He was able to take our ideas and create a beautiful space that works perfectly for us and our property. Throughout the beginning of the process Dan was available to answer our questions, he spent time sharing pictures and showing us ideas as well as meeting with us regularly to look at his progress. He always took our perspective into account and reworked some of the drafts to ensure we were getting what we wanted; but he also had fantastic ideas that we had not thought of and did a great job inserting his personal character into the project. Overall, we have been really impressed with Dan's patience and his ability to turn a small space into something so functional and beautiful.”

“We recently completed our dream/retirement home in Central Oregon. While it was not our first new house, it was our first custom home. We were basically at the end of the design process when I realized what we had was simply not matching what we had envisioned. I had communicated poorly. We hired Rick to help us tweak the project and he did that and more. Essentially, he delivered the look and feel we sought, beginning with a beautiful pencil drawing of what he thought we wanted - it is framed and hangs in our house today. He listened - and was the consummate professional. We couldn't be more thrilled with what his work produced.”

“As a licensed builder for over 38 years I was incredibly impressed with John's professionalism, knowledge and design ability ! I was referred to Evolution Home Design by one of his former employer's and I thank him every time I see him. I had purchased a lot on a hill and asked John to plot the house plan for me when he informed me the plan wouldn't fit on my lot. We worked together to design a home using the ideas of my original plan and new ideas from roof and siding to the details of interior finish. I have worked with several architect's in the past and am extremely happy I now have the last architect I will ever need.”
