“I pretty much knew want I wanted to do with my project. I warned Ellen I knew enough about architecture to be dangerous. Ellen recognized my requirements and was instrumental in identifying other considerations needed for the project. Included was a need for a code variance (setback). I was informed by the city, before starting the project, a code allowance(variance) was not required. Ellen’s code research was right. A code allowance was required. With her help, the review board approved the code allowance request unanimously. Our project involves bumping the attached garage eight feet to allow for a utility room between the garage and house. The design includes moving the washer and dryer out of the basement. As simple as the project sounds, there is a lot involved. Ellen listened to my wife’s concerns and ideas on the project. Together we achieved a very efficient design. We are now in the permit and construction phase of the project. I am looking forward to Ellen’s input. Ellen deserves your serious consideration.”

“Home renovations are extremely stressful - especially the renovation of a diamond-in-the-rough hundred-year old house in a neighborhood with many fine examples of well-preserved hundred year old houses. I looked at the result of several renovations before hiring Carol - what was obvious in her work was a deep understanding of the technical challenges as well as a love of understated, elegant design and an eye for detail. I made the right choice. Carol's sensitivity, approachability, and unflappable resolve rescued the project. The architectural elements that Carol recommended have drawn admiration in the neighborhood, without overwhelming the original character of the house. Mission accomplished”

“Nate, and the amazing group of professionals with whom he works, helped us to open up our dark and boring entrance into a bright and welcoming space. He designed a hidden closet disguised by a bookshelf to utilize dead space to store our cleaning supplies (we love showing this to guests!). And made the suggestion that we lay our tiled floor on a diagonal to add a subtle touch of elegance to the hallway. Nate spent the time to listen to our ideas and visions for the space and he utilized his talent, skills and years of experience to design a space that we love; we couldn’t be happier with the way it all came together!”

“Amazing Basement Creations is far more than its title; it's custom homes, complete remodels and additions. They finished our basement in 2004 and we returned to them 9 years later to gut our main floor, knock out walls, build out a patio and create an outdoor living space. From the GC to the subs, they're spotless on cleanup, have complete attention to detail, are very creative and patient with homeowners who can't make decisions! There's only 1 choice for your remodel or addition needs: Amazing Basement Creations!”

“Lauren Shadid designed the remodel of my home to expand the kitchen and open up the family room, and make use of our space more efficiently. She was very thorough and diligent in her work and was very conscious in keeping within our budget. She works very well with contractors and is always available when she is needed. She was always very response to my questions and concerns. Her background in interior design is a huge bonus as she was very helpful in helping me choose colors and tile. Lauren also helped design my backyard space. We live on sloped lot and she was able to design a pool, jacuzzi, fire pit, and lounge area, whereras before we had a basketball court above the main patio area that was never used. We don't have a finished yard yet, but I can see the transformation and how much more we will enjoy our new space.”

“We couldn't be more pleased with the architectural and design work from Cadence Design on our complete mid-century home remodel in Krisana Park. From our first meeting Angelo Marasco understoond the aesthetic we wanted to achieve. This was a very big job, expansion on both sides and doubling the square footage, on the bones of a house built in 1953. We hired Cadence to design and manage the project throughout and are so happy we had this level of oversight and expertise. The home turned out even more beautiful then we ever imagined. Thank you Angelo and Nancy! We highly recommend Cadence Design.”
