The award-winning Pennsylvania Room is a guest bedroom suite at Anderson House, headquarters of the Society of the Cincinnati, the oldest continuing historical organization in the United States of America. Vintage open arm occasional chairs in a Philadelphia style were purchased and reupholstered in a Thibaut fabric. The custom quilted bedspread is also in a Thibaut fabric. The colors and style of the room were inspired by the portrait of Col. Edward Butler over the fireplace. Col. Butler was an officer in the Pennsylvania line, and one of the founding members of the Pennsylvania Society of the Cincinnati. This portrait is reproduced from an original larger portrait in the Anderson House collection, and custom framed. The Oriental rug was added to the room as a part of the redesign. Birch logs transform what had been a black hole of a fireplace, in black marble and original to the room, and add depth to the room. A Wedgwood Franklin blow, and commemorative plate with Philadelphia architectural landmarks help tell the story in this room. Bob Narod, Photographer, LLC

The bedrooms in this home definitely take on a more subtle style of Regency period design. We wanted the rooms to feel luxurious yet calming - but not overwhelming. We went with softer color schemes and usually one accent of pattern, either through the window treatments or bedding. Hidden features and storage increase the value and functionality of this Guest Room and Home Office Wall Bed. Custom painted door and drawer fronts mounted to the front of this wall bed to create this beautiful design concept of an armoire. The room was too small to have a desk and a bed and the client needed both. The solution was to create a wall bed. Since the client was going to work in this room during the day we wanted her to have a pleasant experience rather than a view of a flat plain front that was an obvious bed. This is the guest bedroom for Santa Clara University. The lamp is mottled mercury silver glass with dark bronze undertones, polished nickel plated accents and crystal details. The tapered round hardback shade is a silken off-white fabric. The layers of ruched ivory and icy blue pillows with fun accent pillows really make this a cozy space for guests. Guest bedroom features specialty painted walls. Sheet rock on walls were left without texture to allow for the painter to apply this technique. Good use of decorative accents and colors. Closets from California Closets give the nice Melamine finish that is difficult to replicate otherwise.
