For this project, the owners purchased a modern home and needed a contemporary look to compliment the exterior. Views from the inside were also key to a successful design. Polished black tile was used on the pool waterline, spa and raised feature wall, adding dramatic impact and sophistication to the finished project. The architectural concrete surround creates a gentle transition from patio to pool. The overall feel of this backyard is clean, modern and elegant.

GDG Designworks
GDG Designworks renovated, expanded and furnished a Westchester house originally built in 1800. A combination of traditional and contemporary was achieved.
Bradford Products
This spa is one of Bradford's Classic models. The Classic Carolina comes in three finishes: full tile, tile trim (pictured), or all stainless. All Bradford spas come with a 25 year structural warranty on their stainless steel shells. The exposed stainless steel on this spa gives it a sleek, modern look that no other material can achieve.
Betz Pools Limited
This overhead image taken when the pool was new shows the unique proportions of the backyard. It measures 116’ deep by 34’ wide at the house, narrowing down to 26’ at the back of the lot. This challenged the Betz designers to carefully position each of the elements so that the overall feel of the yard was one of openness.

Quarry Mill
This beautiful outdoor pool and waterfall uses the Quarry Mill's Denali natural thin stone veneer. Denali natural stone veneer is a high density sandstone cut into rough rectangles forming the castle rock style. The stone gets its abundance of color from the heavy mineral staining. The mineral staining occurred naturally in the quarry over time as water washed minerals between the individual layers of stone. The colors include blue, light grey, tan and brown. Denali also has a very rugged and unique texture with a mix of dimpled, smooth and wavy pieces. This stone is sold as individual pieces intended to be installed by a professional masonry contractor. If you are looking for a rustic and colorful thin stone veneer Denali is a great choice.
Urbanleaf Landscapes
Kaihani wanted to create a space that reminded her of Hawaii. A vacation getaway in her own backyard. We revamped the pool, adding a flowing water feature and glowing stones. We resurfaced the deck with hardy Ipe wood and travertine. And we created a cozy seating area next to an elegant fire pit. To get to Hawaii, Kaihani only has to step out her back door.
It's breath taking...it's like being back home in Hawaii.
